It is set in in many places during World War II but most of the scenes are set in the Pacific Ocean. The main characters are capitain Marko Ramius, Jack Ryan, capitain Bart Mancuso and capitain Vasili Borodin.

The plot is very interesting. What I liked most about the film is that the happenings are unpredictable what makes the film amazing. The scenario is spot-on. It has no mistakes.

In conclusion, I think The Hunt for Red October is an outstanding film. I would not change anything in it as the scenario and cast are just perfect. In order to understand the film you need to focus on what are characters saying. The ending is a bit sad. But everyone at almost any age will like it.
