Marysia recommend 'Alex'

I have recently read a book called „Alex”. It is a novel by an French author - Pierre Lemaitre.  I’d like to recommend this book to people who enjoy crimes, thrillers and detective stories. It’s set in Paris in 21st century. The main characters are Alex and Camille.  Alex is beautiful, a little bit abstruse, 30 years old woman which was abduct, but Camille is 145 cm detective in medium age who get investigation about abduction like these one, in which his wife dead. The plot is about getaway Alex from psycho captor, and investigation which is lead in this issue.

I particularly enjoyed the plot and twists in it, which are very suprising and unexpected. Some of the scenes are brutal and atrocious, it cause the book isn’t for sensitive people. The novel broach some of serious problems  and themes that are actually happen every day.

All in all, I really enjoyed the book and I would’t change the plot or characters. This is a difficult book, but very absorb and suprising.
